On July 1, 2012, the Collateral Recovery Act will legally go into effect, however, the law will not be enforced until a date to be determined in the future. The IRA has received communication from the ICC stating that the enforcement date will be preceded by substantial time for agencies to comply and is currently projected to be September 1, 2012. It is currently and only a projection, and we will be advised of the official date. We will be notified immediately after the State of Illinois decides on an enforcement date and will post it immediately to this homepage. Please check back periodically for the most up to date information regarding the Collateral Recovery Act.
